Can a public high school student apply?
Yes. The partner program accepts applications from students at public as well as private high schools in Türkiye. Students keep their current school place, obtain official school records and apply through the local enrollment office.
Does my school have to offer dual diplomas?
Some private schools advertise a dual diploma partnership. Students can also apply individually to a program that accepts applicants from other schools. Check which US school actually awards the diploma and who verifies its accreditation.
What will my school need to provide?
- Request an official transcript showing courses and grades. The enrollment office will describe the documents required.
- Confirm whether your circumstances call for additional documents or school approval. Most US work is asynchronous, so students can plan study time around their Turkish timetable.
How does my school type affect my credits?
The academic team evaluates your own courses. English, mathematics, science and world languages may match some US requirements. Vocational subjects need individual review and a student may have more US coursework left. The name of the Turkish school alone cannot determine the result.
US history and government are examples of subjects often taken through the US school. The Academy’s sample plan also lists world history, English, health, personal finance and an elective.
Balancing a public school timetable
